Social Development and Research center (SDRC) is one of the leading organizations in the sector of disaster risk management, poverty alleviation, flood response and reconstruction, social mobilization and community development and Infrastructure Development, Community mediation, Gender and social inclusion, Rural water Supply Safe drinking water, Hygiene ( Open Defecation free) and Sanitation , Local governance , Income generation, Livelihood promotion and pesticides management, Natural Resource Management, Environment conservation , Climate change  at local and regional level. It was established in 1994 by registered in the District Administrative Office, Dhanusha and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu. SDRC has a General Assembly consisting of 34 members.
